Description
The GLM is a remote
controlled latch mechanism specifically designed for the Freedom Pinewood
Derby track, made by MicroWizard. It starts your race with nobody near the
track. It is designed to be operated by our Light Trees, Models LT3
and the new LT4 shown here.
The GLM requires no
modifications to your track whatsoever. We
supply a replacement lever that already has the required hole for the actuator
rod. (See red arrow).
|
|
From above
the track the actuating mechanism is barely visible.
The GLM actuator uses
a linear solenoid to move the lever mechanism exactly as you have been doing.
It is mounted with VHB tape under the right-most lane.
Make a quick adjustment
to the brass pull rod, attach power and triggering cables, and you are ready
to race. Nothing could be simpler.
